AALAC Assembly

AALAC will reimburse up to $2,000 in travel expenses for each institution. Each institution should collect their travel receipts and send an invoice to AALAC for those expenses (actual receipts are not required). The invoice should be sent to AALAC c/o Janet Tobin at Amherst. Deans/provosts who require up to an additional $1,000 in travel reimbursement should contact Andy Shennan at Wellesley.

Carleton College is located approximately 45 minutes south of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP).  Transportation options to Northfield include:

• Car rental
  Available at MSP

• Metro Express
  The Northfield Metro Express features multiple route times, seven days a week including stops at Carleton College, St. Olaf College, Downtown Northfield, and MSP International Airport. The Carleton stop is in front of Willis Hall, a three to four block walk to the hotel accommodations.  $15 each way when booked online, or $25 cash on the bus.
• First Choice Shuttle
  Rides between MSP and Northfield are $70 one way. Rides must be booked in advance.

• Lyft and Uber
  Lyft and Uber serve Minneapolis/St. Paul and will drop off in Northfield. NOTE:  there is not an active Uber/Lyft scene for rides beginning in Northfield.
