May 13, 2013 at 3:24 pm

Muira will use her Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in Turkey through their English Teaching Assistantship (ETA) scholarship.  She will be working with university students, helping them to improve their conversational skills, reading, and cultural knowledge.  During her Fulbright experience, Muira intends to conduct independent research on intercultural dialogue programs in higher education and other initiatives run by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, the topic of her integrative exercise in Political Science.

Muira is also one of twelve students accepted to participate in the 2013 Helix Project in Belarus, Poland, and Lithuania.  As part of the program, she will examine European educational policy and alongside other Helixers, explore the range of religious experience in Europe, from the creativity that blossoms when difference is celebrated to the cataclysmic disaster wreaked by hate.
