Home Sweet Home

After a very complicated journey fraught with flight delays and cancellations for many of us, we are finally back at Carleton. Due to large snowstorms in the Midwest on Sunday, many of us had trouble getting back to Carleton on time. By the time I got back, I had already missed my first day of classes, and my luggage was also lost.  Even though I was in frigid temperatures, without my luggage, having already had a delayed start,  I could not have been happier to step on campus. It has been amazing reuniting with all of my friends. Already I have had many wonderful conversations with my friends here.

Although it has only been 3 days, I am already looking forward to all of my classes. This term I will be taking Intro to Computer Science, French 204 and Life and Death. Just in the last 3 days, I have read the Beauty and the Beast in French, discussed what the criteria are for a meaningful life, and started to learn the basics of computer programming.  I also have close friends in my classes, which is wonderful because we can help each other out, as well as have great discussions about the material outside of class.

Even though this term has only just begun, it feels exhilarating to be back in the swing of things. While I enjoyed seeing my family and friends back home,  I really missed the busyness of Carleton. This term just to add to the busyness, I've decided to take jazz piano lessons, which I am looking forward to starting next week!
