A week before classes start for the fall term, new freshmen gather at Carleton to meet each other, acquaint themselves with the campus and engage in a series of sometimes ridiculous new student traditions and icebreaker activities. This week and its exploits are the best approximation to summer camp found at Carleton, which is why some call it "Camp Carleton."
