After calculating your financial need, we send a financial aid award package to each admitted applicant.

For students eligible for need-based aid, the award package usually includes:

• A Carleton grant or scholarship
• A student loan
• Student employment

For students NOT eligible for need-based aid, the award package usually includes:

• A loan
• Student employment

If families and students need help in paying their expected contribution, Carleton's financial aid staff can assist them in locating financing for the amount desired.
