Class of 2009: Ten Students
Christopher Kosednar
#2 of 10

"I am intrigued by the workings of the universe and how mankind is so adept at predicting future events because of our knowledge of how things works." A nominee for the Wendy’s Heisman Award for Academics and Athletics, Chris’s passion to discover how things work extends to a very diverse and impressive array of activities. He has studied piano since the age of seven and received "gold" ratings 10 years in a row in National Fellowship of Student Musicians competitions. He's also been a cellist in the Anchorage Youth Symphony. He has directed an annual event called "Feast or Famine" that illustrates world hunger and encourages charitable donations for hunger programs. A standout athlete, he has earned seven varsity letters and was captain of both the cross-country team and the nordic ski team. Also noteworthy, he played in the the world-record longest-ever continuous game of Ultimate Frisbee (61 hours, 26 minutes). Chris looks forward to studying physics and being a pre-med student.
