These are the 4 reasons I didn't do all my homework this weekend.
1. Frisbee. This weekend the regional Frisbee championship tournament was held at Carleton. At any given time there were like 5 different games going on (mens' and womens'). My particular favorite was the CUT (Carleton Ultimate Team) game against the University of Minnesota. We won (CUT went on to win the whole thing), but I particularly liked this game. It's always fun to watch people who are really good at things, even if it's not something you're really that into. Anyways, I have some friends on CUT who are just really really good at frisbee and it's fun to watch them playing. I'm not sure whether or not this is true, but someone told me CUT is ranked #2 in the nation for ALL college frisbee teams. Which is really impressive, considering we're a pretty small school.
2. Ebony. Yes, I know plenty of other people have talked about Ebony already (Aparna, Claire, and myself), but I couldn't not post about it (since it was the main reason for not doing homework). After a long week of rehearsals and various tech issues, we finally put the show on Friday and Saturday night. There were around 500 people in the audience each night, which was really great. Of course, that means that between the 2 nights, about a thousand people watched me dance around shirtless to Lady Gaga. And it means my "choreography" debut was for 1000 people. Not bad for a singer/songwriter at a small liberal arts school, right?
Here are some pictures from the Break The Ice dance I choreographed with my friend/archnemesis, the ex-vice President.
We had the biggest dance (besides group, which involves everyone) so you can't really see everyone, but that's ok.

I think I had a picture of us rehearsing this move earlier, so you know, self reference is always good...

In this move we were all supposed to touch ourselves suggestively, but looks like SOMEONE didn't get the message...
Here are some pictures from some of the other dances (and thanks to Kelly who I borrowed all these pictures from)

This one is my favorite...good faces.

And here are some of the Man Dance. Pre-shirt take off...

Post-shirt take off...

I'm all the way on the left, so you can't really tell, but believe me, I'm the best at doing push ups.
3. Music. I wrote a new song Sunday morning, so then I just worked on recording it and making a rough version with other instruments all morning. And then I finally got to the library and just started working on my arrangement for Exit 69. And then I had dinner with a friend (not really music related), and had Exit rehearsal where we got 2 new songs (one of which is one of my favorite romantic songs...hint).
4. Rain. It rained Sunday. And when it rains, I mean, it's just more fun to hang out with friends than to finish my reading. But now it's past midnight on Tuesday and I have those papers to write...
