Compsing between job interviews while completing homework in the Big Apple... WHEW!

I interviewed today with Carney Sandoe & Associates, a private firm that recruits teachers and administrators for placement in private, independent schools across the United States and abroad. I am fortunate to have several interviews/meetings scheduled during my three day stay in the Big Apple. Tomorrow I'll be interviewing with the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism, to which I applied over break. To say that I am overwhelmed by what seems to be a sea of uncertainty is an understatement. It's a good feeling knowing that Carleton has prepared me for each of my prospects, however, it has been quite stressful juggling the rigors of academia (I'm taking a break from my comps project to write this post) and life post-Carleton. Amid trying to historicize many conflicting and contributing arguments defining Black Power, I find myself constantly on the hunt for jobs. You might be asking "why does he seem so paranoid?" Well, friends, I'm not. My goal is to have an idea of what I'm doing around the time I turn in my thesis-- March 6. As the term progresses, I am looking forward to sharing my comps experience with you, along with tales from my job hunt. Until next time, make it a great one and you be good. Many thanks, Brandon
