Hopefully the title will keep away those who are opposed to vaginas, as I will proceed to discuss them a lot in this entry (not in a particularly graphic way, though). 

I have finally applied and gotten a radio show on the fabled KRLX Radio!

So I took a little bit of video of my trip up here in the car (Santa brought me a super cool thing called a Flip which is a camcorder and really cute), but I'm not super tech-savy, so editing my little clips together will be an adventure.  Also, the weather got horrendous north of Ames, Iowa, so I was too nervous to bother with anything other than staying out of the ditches on the side of the road.

Anyway, I'm back, rarin' to go, and ready for the Winter term.  I already told you my classes and such, so I will do some recaps of things people have done since I last saw them (some of them November, others in March). 

Ok, I'm not gonna lie, I kind of forgot about this blog for a while.  But I have returned! (I know you all were waiting on pins and needles) ...

So, while I could comment on the blatant commercialization of Christmas, instead I shall discuss the ramifications of this commercialization.  Commercialization results in the increasing need to buy gifts, which results in the increasing need for MONEY (it makes the world go 'round, you know).

Just in case you were wondering, I've safely made the long drive home from Minnesota and am now lounging, watching a Law&Order marathon (I always forget how depressing these episodes are).  I will give you guys more details about my break as time goes by, but just thought I'd check in and tell you all to keep checking, as all of us have been asked to keep posting over break.

Happy Thanksgiving to anyone who celebrates it - I understand the historical roots of the holiday are ... less than ideal, but I love family and food, so it rivals Christmas in my book of holidays.

At the end of the term, there are finals, papers, late nights in the Libe/CMC, stress, colder weather, and lots of traditions.

By the end of one term, you've often figured out a lot about the next term: where you will live, your classes, probably your meal plan, some of your activities, etc. I will talk about what I do and do not know! It will be an insanely busy term, I think.

I went up to St. Paul to the Xcel Energy Center on Sunday to see the 2008 Tour of Gymnastics Superstars. I have a car, which makes it easier, but the cities are close enough to plan occasional excursions, especially since the Co-Op bus stops a couple blocks from the Xcel Energy Center, among other locations.

The election has been covered by everyone - the excitement on campus, the interest, the lack of youth apathy, and coverage on KRLX, etc.  I experienced it slightly differently - I was a volunteer eleciton judge in Northfield at the polling location for Precint 1, Ward 2, and then my Political Science class went up to the Republican and Democratic rallies in the Twin Cities.  It was a long day, but here's a recap and some thoughts. 

So I've always kind of wanted to do a radio show, so on Sunday I visited the studio for my roommate's shows (she has two in a row).

I just performed for Social Programming Board's "Set Up Your Roomate" (colloquially known as "Screw Your Roommate"). What kind of performance? Who performs in general? Read on, dear readers.
