Hi readers,
So sorry for the lack of posting by me! Two Tuesday's ago, I was wrapped up in tech week for my play, then this past Tuesday, I didn't finish my post enough to post it. My idea was that, since I had just finished writing a huge Art History paper, I'd do a mostly drawing post. What I decided on was to draw a synopsis of 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, the play I was in last weekend. 'Tis Pity is an Elizabethan revenge tragedy by John Ford. One really cool thing that we got to do was our director and a few of the actors went to Pierre Hecker's revenge tragedy class, since they were studying the play this term. So we got to see a few people present on the play by comparing it to Shakespeare or describing a psychoanalytic analysis of the characters. I had a better introduction written, but for some reason it got deleted, so I'm starting from scratch and I'd better just get this on out there before reading days and finals start! This whole drawing thing actually took a ton of time and required me to do wayyy more thinking than I thought it would. Also, it reminded me of just how crazy and disturbing the play gets at points, to the extent where I wasn't sure if I should post it all here. So here's my compromise: I'll post the beginning here and if you want to keep reading there will be a link to the rest, sound good? Gosh, this is a well-organized paragraph...

To keep reading, buy a monthly subscription for only three easy, monthly payments of $19.95! Just kidding, you can actually just click here, I made a Facebook album. Be warned, there will be blood! Speaking of blood it was actually really cool, we had these blood packs for the show. Our special effects guy, Cameron, did a great job. And I can't imagine how hard it would be acting well with a precarious foil packet full of fake blood taped to my side. But it turned out really well and looked amazing!
Anyhow, students, good luck with finals! Other people, good luck with weekend! Sorry for the late and strange posting. See you next term!
Peace,
Jon
