Hi! My name is Marlena and I'm a freshman from Evergreen, Colorado. I play forward on the Women's Varsity Soccer team here and hope to play Ultimate Frisbee in the winter and spring. This term, I'm taking Principles of Psychology, German 101, and my freshman seminar, the Philosophy of Utopias. I'm very undecided as to what I want to major in: right now, I'm toying with the idea of Political Science or some language or Psych or Neuropsych. The two most useful things I brought to Carleton are an electric tea kettle and my bike, who I fondly call Kennedy. I found her through Craigslist and picked her up in Minneapolis on the way to school. She's a 1970's Schwinn Suburban and the brakes squeak so loudly they double as a horn. I've done quite a bit with photography in the past few years, so I'm excited to document parts of Carleton through pictures, but I've never blogged before so please excuse what might be a rough start!
