Fact: There Are Adventures To Be Had In Northfield (Installation 1)

It was preseason. I had just crawled into bed to rest for a bit after my first soccer practice of the day, a fan set up near my bed doing its best to push around the hot, humid air. I figured I'd watch some bad TV until it was time to go play more soccer.

Just as I was getting comfortable, I heard footsteps on the stairs. My friend Casey popped her head in my door and said, "Get up, we're going on an adventure."

"Where are we going?"

"Northfield pool's Dog Swim."

Clearly, I didn't have a choice. Watching dogs play in the pool on or watching TV in a too-hot room? No contest.

And so began my first notable adventure of the year: the Dog Swim.

I think this is as good a reason as any to love Northfield.
