This is picking up from my last post. I told you last time that within the same week it snowed and then was 70... well after that it SNOWED AGAIN.
Luckily, the crazy changes are all over and everyone is outside making up for lost time.
A spring fair held by ResLife and the residential assistants (RAs). There was snacks, local bike mechanics giving free tune-ups, a few club booths, recycled tire flip-flop making, and a little garden give away.
A demonstration on how to cut the tires to the right shape.
People could bring a little life into their room with a free plant planted in old bottles.
A proud plant parent.
Games were also available...who says croquet isn't a varsity sport (except it actually isn't here, sorry).
Some friends playing with a frisbee on the baldspot. Maybe more impressive, the grass is already almost back!
Golf...with wiffle balls all throughout campus. I'm blanking on the name of this game but its a great lazy day activity.
A student rally was recently held to talk on diversity issues ranging from race and mental health to campus accessibility (and tons in between).
The rally had a large turnout (a lot more students are out of the frame to the left). It offered student's the chance to voice their thoughts or have someone else read them if they chose to.
Doing some reading on the mini-baldspot is a great way to start the day.
Reading in the woods (really just a few trees)...is this the next Thoreau?
Posters have returned outdoors!
Studio Art professor Dan Bruggeman spends some time out of class showing students a few extra tips and tricks on using watercolors.
A little patio outside the LDC (along with the neighboring mini-baldspot) make great spaces for eating outdoors.
More frisbee on the baldspot; this was just too dramatic to not post.
