One of the great things about Carleton is that, for all the amazing opportunities we provide our students, we also ensure that our faculty and staff have opportunities for professional growth. 

This includes supporting grant applications, like the recent cases of Prof. Harry Williams as a Fulbright Scholar and Prof. Helen Wong receiving an NSF grant; creating opportunities for interdisciplinary exploration in both the curriculum and with resources, like the Weitz Center; and providing forums for discussion of current, relevant topics in and out of the classroom, like the Tuesday sessions through the Perlman Center for  Learning and Teaching.

These initiatives keep faculty and staff connected to the broader college community beyond their own departments and offices, and they also allow for interaction with students beyond just the classroom.
