We asked two students to share their input on what you should do now that the applications are submitted:
Once you've submitted your applications, your biggest enemy is
yourself. I remember trying my hardest not to worry about my early
decision application to Carleton--and failing. Just bear in mind that
no matter how much you fret, your work is done. Short of stalking the
admission officials (don't...don't do that), there's nothing left for
you to do. So distract yourself by enjoying your senior year, and try
to forget about college...until your responses begin arriving. - Sophie

Get creative and do something you've never done before. If your high school was anything like mine then you'll probably be on cruise control for the rest of the year now that you've finally submitted your applications, and that's OK! The thing is, Carleton is a challenging place, especially when you come in after a long summer and a final semester of high school afflicted by Senioritis. Your brain is like any other muscle, if you don't use it then it becomes weak. You can keep your mind "in shape" by trying new and interesting things that you've never done or had the time to do before. Try learning to play an instrument. Already play one? Start learning a new one. Make a ridiculous viral video. Write a short story or try making new beats on Garageband.
Wherever your passions or interests may lay, follow them, or go find new ones!
