The Past Two Years in Photos

Ally looks back on her past two years at Carleton as told through a series of photographs.

Ally looks back on her past two years at Carleton as told through a series of photographs.

Here are a few of my favorite moments at Carleton from the last few years:

1) This was taken on a field trip for my Antarctic Earth Science geology class where we cored the sediment of a frozen lake in January 2016. My current roommate is the one under all the winter gear; it makes me simultaneously laugh at how bundled we were – note, there is no exposed skin- and also fear the impending cold.

Prospective Students: This isn’t how I’d dress to go to class during Winter Term, only when I will be spending 2+ hours outside, and even then, this is more to provide comedic relief around the infamous ‘Minnesota Winter’

2) This is the Hot Nova frisbee team joined by some Ole friends two springs ago all being goofy after scrimmaging all day. We had a huge barbecue together after this photo was taken, enjoying being outside and just playing frisbee for fun, not super competitively.

3) This was actually from a few weeks ago; the foliage was so beautiful! Naomi was looking at all the changing leaf colors and looking around as we went on a walk through town and the Arboretum to get a break from the library and get some air.

4) Another Winter-y Photo, bundling up with my suitemates last year in our living room after coming back from the day of school/work/extracurriculars/meetings. This year I don’t live in a suite, just a normal dorm room with one other roommate.  Every year I’ve been incredibly lucky with the people that I live with and the location of our suite/room.

Looking forward to what other moments are captured photographically and what I remember looking back once I graduate in another two years.
