Home for the holidays?

There is only so much time in the day, and limited days in a year... while our admissions counselors don the title of "road warrior" and travel relentlessly for several weeks of the year, there are many schools and towns we just can't visit. This makes us sad - there are cool potential Carls everywhere! So we call on the most enthusiastic, knowledgeable Carleton experts we know - current students.

Carleton students do all sorts of stuff during winter break from traveling the world to "externing" with alums, but many go home to relax after an exciting, but exhausting, fall term. For those that are home, they can volunteer to go back to their high school stomping grounds and share their Carleton experience - with the added benefit of knowing precisely what the transition to Carleton was like from their town and their school. So far we've heard back from a half-dozen of our traveling volunteers, visits are going well and they're meeting lots of interesting students around the country!
