Art History

The department bridges the gap between creative expression and academic inquiry by introducing students to artistic images and artifacts and to the conditions of their production and viewing, their functions and meanings, and the roles they play in recording and shaping people, perceptions, events, and culture. Students gain valuable skills in observing, discriminating among, analyzing, and interpreting works of art.

You can major in this subject.
