Cinema and Media Studies

Cinema and media studies involves the formal study of film, video, television, and the Internet. Course work is of three related kinds: 1) study of connections between film, video, television, and other arts; 2) study of film and video and their relation to other disciplines; and 3) production classes.

    Carleton students choose a major near the end of their sophomore year, either from one of the subjects listed below or by creating a special major. Students may also pursue a concentration, which is an integrated disciplinary program that complements the major.
