German
The program focuses on mastery of the German language, and by the end of their first year, students have the oral proficiency to live and study in a German-speaking country. Carleton programs are offered in Graz, Austria, and in Munich, Berlin, and Nuremberg, Germany. Students learn the philosophical and literary foundations crucial to understanding Germany and read the original writings of important historical figures such as Goethe, Schiller, Kafka, Brecht, and Bachmann. Students can live in a language house directed by a native speaker.
You can major in this subject.
