Language Requirement
-
Does Carleton have a language requirement? The Admissions Office says:Carleton does require that all students take four terms of a language in order to reach language competence (five terms if studying Arabic, Chinese or Japanese). However, students are allowed to test up (into 103 instead of 102, for example) or out of the requirement, and can do so in any language other than English.Even so, most students who test out of the requirement still choose to take additional language courses or begin a new language altogether.
