Carleton College

Leigh-Anne Borkowski ’11

Hi! I'm Leigh-Anne and I'm a sophomore English major. I'm from Elverta, California, which is a suburb outside of Sacramento, and had never spent more than a day at a time being around snow before coming to Carleton. Last year I thought I adjusted pretty well to wearing layers upon layers and trying to master the elusive sport of broomball, but this year I was lucky enough to be studying abroad in London during winter term.

When I'm not shooting and editing video footage, I'm usually throwing a frisbee on the Bald Spot, lingering over dinner for hours in Burton, or procrastinating in the libe. I also play soccer for Carleton's Women's team and frisbee for Eclipse. My favorite random things at Carleton include spring term BBQs, bonfires at Agro Krag, sledding down Bell Hill, attending opening convocation (only a little over a year until I'm a senior, blowing bubbles from the balcony down at the entering processional of professors and heads of the college...eek!), Halloween Concert, floating down the Cannon, petting Toff the Campus Cat, the list could go on and on.
