Melissa Langer ’09
My name is Melissa Langer and I’m a senior at Carleton. I’m from Washington DC and am the youngest of four and a recent aunt! I’m a history major here and traveled abroad with Carleton’s Middle East Mosaics seminar to Egypt, Turkey, and Morocco during my junior year. After returning I wrote my senior comprehensive paper on the history of urban planning in Rabat, Morocco. I have also taken a number of art history courses here and am especially interested in film, public art, architecture and design. I hope to learn more about film and documentaries in particular after I graduate. Though I do not consider myself an artist, I have a passion for being around art and those who create.
