Class of 1962 50th Reunion Giving

Go

We hope you've saved June 14-17, 2012 for our 50th Reunion!

To get you in the spirit, here's a video trip down memory lane with the Class of '62:

Leading the Way in Giving

We are proud that the Class of '62 has led the way in giving at every reunion since our 25th. In 2012, we'd like to do it again with a class goal of giving $30 million for our 50th. We've already raised $28.4 million, so we have a real chance of reaching that goal—with your help and participation.

Please join us in showing our belief in Carleton and our commitment to future generations of Carls.

Triple Your Gift with the Class of '62 Challenge

We have some exciting news to share: one of our classmates has issued a challenge to help in securing cash gifts for the Class of 1962 50th reunion gift!

The anonymous challenge donor pledges up to $500,000 to challenge members of the Class of ’62 to think big for the 50th reunion. To that end, the donor will match the increased portion of all reunion gifts of $10,000 or more 2:1. Matches are calculated based on the increase in the amount given this year compared to the amount given last year. Challenge money will be added to the class total.

Here’s How it Works:

Gift last year Reunion gift Match Total class dollars
$1,000 $5,000 $0 $5,000
$1,000 $10,000 $18,000 $28,000
$5,000 $15,000 $20,000 $35,000
$10,000 $25,000 $30,000 $55,000

The Challenge triples the impact of the increased portion of all qualifying gifts and pledges and, if successful, will realize $750,000 for the Class of ’62 campaign.

The challenge officially began on Oct. 11th—the day it was issued. It will match only new gifts, not existing pledges. Gifts need to be received by June 30, 2012. The challenge donor will only give what is generated by qualifying gifts. In other words, it is a real challenge—we don’t get the $500,000 unless we raise it in eligible gifts.
