TITLE: Becky Alexander '09 - Studio Art & Spanish Major

BECKY: I'm Becky Alexander, and this is my Carleton.

TITLE: Maggie Alexander '12

MAGGIE: I'm Maggie Alexander, and this is my Carleton.

TITLE: Kate Alexander '10 - Biology Major

KATE: I'm Kate Alexander, and this is my Carleton.

MAGGIE: When I was coming here, I thought everyone would think of me as Becky's little sister, or Kate's little sister.

KATE: There are a lot of people who have this sort of thing where, like...oh, the middle children are the ones that get left out, or something like that.

MAGGIE: But that's not how the people here are. They identify you as your own person.

KATE: Becky, I think maybe because she's older, I tend to follow her around a bit more. "Oh Becky, where are you going? I'm going to go wherever you're going." Whereas Maggie...maybe she follows me around a bit more than I follow her around.

MAGGIE: I think we're pretty close. I like 'em.

KATE: This year I'm living right next to Maggie, in Musser. So we're next door neighbors and so a lot of times we'll just walk into each other's room...and that makes us pretty close and makes it so we can see each other a lot more.

BECKY: We mostly have to laugh at our own jokes, because nobody else will.

BECKY: I think what it means to me is always having somebody there who knows how I'm feeling, what I'm going through and what they can do either to help me or make me feel better. I'm really proud to have them as sisters and I always like to say a good race, like after Maggie's 500...tears are running down my face and I just yell, "That's my sister! I know her!"

KATE: So far my Carleton experience has been a pretty amazing experience. What I do here is really important to me.

KATE: Swimming is an individual sport and a team sport. What I've given to the team is important for the whole team. I'm asking you to do your part and give generously to all of us here.
