What is the Senior Gift?

Senior Gift at Carleton College is NOT a rock, a bench, or a tree. Senior Gift is an unrestricted monetary gift to the College. It's an opportunity for our class to show its support for Carleton and its mission. It is also a chance for us to continue the tradition of stewardship and philanthropy established by alums who came before us. They helped to shape our education and experience at Carleton. We can and should demonstrate our appreciation for their generosity with a gift to Carleton today.

Why should you participate?

• You don't need to give a million dollars to make a difference. Every gift counts!
• Annual support from Carleton alumni help to keep Carleton, Carleton.
• Unrestricted funds from the Alumni Annual Fund help to make up the difference between the price of tuition and the actual cost of a Carleton education.
• Alumni participation rates help to bring in funds from other sources. The percentage of alumni who give back to Carleton is looked at as a measure of satisfaction with the College. High rates of alumni participation encourage grants from foundations, motivate more alumni to give, and increase our ranking.
• Our experiences at Carleton have been supported by past generations of Carleton students. You can help support future generations of Carleton students.
