Volunteer for Carleton
What is Volunteer for Carleton?
Volunteer for Carleton (VFC) is an annual, campus-wide stewardship event held in Great Hall. Student volunteers have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about opportunities to volunteer for Carleton now and after graduation
- Make fundraising calls to alumni on behalf of the Alumni Annual Fund
- Call alumni to encourage Reunion attendance
- Call Alumni Admissions Representatives to share their Carleton experience
- Write thank you notes to Carleton donors and volunteers
- Write Scholarship Appreciation Letters
- Meet alumni volunteers
Volunteer for Carleton will be held January 17-22, 2010 in Great Hall. Please join us on Sunday from 2 pm to 10 pm and Monday through Thursday from 5 pm to 10 pm.
Auction and Raffle
Student participation is encouraged through the auction and raffle, which occur on the last day of VFC. As students make phone calls and participate in VFC throughout the week, they earn points to be used at the auction or for raffle tickets. The auction and raffle consist of donations that are provided by the Carleton community and local businesses, and are deeply appreciated.
Past donations have included home cooked meals, gift certificates to local businesses and the Carleton bookstore, tickets to professional sporting events, and even sleep number beds! Some of this year's prizes include:
- Sleep number beds!
- iTunes Gift cards
- Gift certificates to local businesses
- Art work
- Gift baskets
- Home baked goods
If you would like to make a donation to VFC, please complete the donation form. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at the Alumni Annual Fund office:
Henrickson House
205 East Second Street
Northfield, MN 55053
The auction and raffle will be held Friday, January 22, 2010 from 4 pm to 6 pm in Great Hall.
