REGISTRATION & RESERVATIONS

A deposit of $500.00 per person is required at the time of registration. The balance is payable 60 days prior to departure date. We reserve the right to request higher deposits if the client chooses special trains or products where a larger deposit is required. If a reservation is made within 60 days of the start of travel, the entire amount is to be submitted at time of the reservation. All tour participants must complete, sign and date a tour registration form to validate and agree to these tour terms and conditions as outlined below, if they wish to participate in any tour program with Cultural Vacations Inc, or culturalvacations.com.

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS / TOUR FORMS

All tour participants making payments by credit card agree that by signing a credit card authorization, they agree to the tour terms and conditions in this brochure or on any tailor made program and not to request any charge backs on their card until any disputed matters are resolved with Cultural Vacations Inc., & or culturalvacations.com

LAND ARRANGEMENTS INCLUDE: HOTELS

Deluxe, First Class, 3-4 star and best available are indicated in tour packages featured in this brochure, based on a minimum of two persons traveling and sharing a room with private facilities. Categories assigned to hotels are the opinions of the tour operator and are selected based on location among other criteria. The right is reserved to substitute hotels of similar category when necessary.

TRANSFERS & SIGHTSEEING & MEALS:

All airport/hotel transfers are included in all tour packages. Transfers take place when arriving and departing at all destinations on the scheduled dates of printed brochure or pre-arranged dates for custom made or tailor made itineraries. Sightseeing is included as per each program’s day to day itinerary. Set menu Meals included as listed in each program:

B = Breakfast, L = Lunch and D = Dinner.

TAXES, ENTRANCE FEES & GRATUITIES:

Hotel taxes and service charges as imposed by governments are included. Entrance fees to National Parks, Museums and places of interest are included if these visits are listed in each itinerary. Gratuities are at the client’s discretion. The USA and other countries’ taxes for air travel must be collected at time your Int’l air ticket is issued and are not included. Some other countries’ airport or departure taxes may be collected at the destination when departing that country.

BAGGAGE HANDLING:

The handling of one piece of checked baggage per person not to exceed 44 lbs is included. Some internal light aircraft flights in The Maldives, game parks in Africa, or other areas around the world may have other lesser weight restrictions. Baggage and personal effects are carried at the owner's risk. Baggage insurance is strongly recommended.

NOT INCLUDED IN LAND PRICE

International air transportation is not included in the land tour, but is when purchased with air and land. Excess baggage charges,shipping baggage purchases. Passport and visa fees and medical charges for inoculations. Items of a personal nature such as laundry, mini bar usage in rooms, beverages, meals not included on programs, telephone/internet/ cable/fax charges. Baggage, trip cancellation and personal insurance. Airport taxes, airline insurance or security charges, Gratuities which are of a personal nature to any service personnel such as reps, drivers, baggage bellmen or helpers, guides, escorts, train, cruise, boat staff or any hotel staff.

TAILOR OR CUSTOM MADE ITINERARIES

Any tour package that is custom / tailor made to any destination is subject to these Cultural Vacations or culturalvacations.com Terms and Conditions listed herewith.

TOUR PRICES

All tour prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and indicate 2003 rates and new rates will apply in the year 2004. The tour cost includes our planning, handling and all operational charges for both brochure programs and tailor made programs. Prices are based on tariffs and exchange rates effective at time of printing. In the event of severe currency fluctuation or tariff increase the cost listed herein is subject to increase and the client(s) will be advised if such events occur. Land prices are guaranteed once deposit is received.

CHILDREN

Under the age 12, children sharing accommodations with 2 adults share a triple or quad room. Discounts for published tours are already listed in the charts while discounts for tailor made will be advised at time on inquiry. Children of certain ages are not permitted at some accommodations and once supplier indicate these to us, we will communicate these to travelers.

SIZE OF GROUP - THE SINGLE TRAVELER

We guarantee departures on our tours listed and are subject to space availability at time of booking. While we guarantee the departure, we cannot guarantee the number of participants of any tour departure listed in our published brochures. They vary from departure to departure. If you are traveling alone and wish to share accommodations to take advantage of the share pricing costs versus paying for a single room supplement, every effort will be made to find you a roommate. We cannot guarantee your compatibility with that person found for you.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Each passenger must be in possession of a valid current signed passport which has not expired and is valid for at least six months from the date of your entry to that country, round-trip airline ticket, and adequate funds for the duration of the stay. Details of visa requirements will be given at time of booking or with your pre-trip information packet. You must obtain your own visas to any country that requires a visa before arrival. Ask your travel agent, visa service, or appropriate consulate for assistance with obtaining visas to your intended destinations.

BAGGAGE, HEALTH/TRIP CANCELLATION INSURANCE - AT TIME OF RESERVATION:

Travel insurance is strongly recommended. A comprehensive policy is available from Cultural Vacations and details will be automatically sent to each passenger booking a tour. If you wish to cover any pre-existing conditions, the insurance must be purchased at the same time as your deposit is made, to be eligible to waive any pre-existing conditions. If you still wish insurance after deposit but before final payment, Insurance is available but this will then exclude any pre-existing conditions. Sample policies will be sent upon request. Insurance is underwritten by a separate Insurance company - Insure America / Travel Guard.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

All cancellations must be in writing to Cultural Vacations. The day your written or confirmed faxed notice is received by us will be the date to review any penalties that may apply. The following fees are non refundable based on the number of days prior to departure: From the date of reservation up until 31 days prior: $ 200 per person non refundable handling and communication fee. From 30 days to 22 days prior to departure 25 % per person is non refundable. From 21 to 15 days: 50% of tour cost per person is non refundable. From 14 days to departure: 100% of tour cost is non refundable and the right is reserved to retain full payment. No refund can be made for any tour accommodations, air tickets, tour service, or tour feature that you do not utilize or you cancel while the tour is in progress. Cultural Vacations will not be liable and will not entertain any claims reported past 30 days of the completion of our services.

AIR TRANSPORTATION RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY

Round-trip economy-class air transportation via any IATA or ARC carrier. Airlines and airlines schedules are subject to change without prior notice, at the sole discretion of the issuing carriers. Air Tax and airline insurance surcharges or security fees are additional. The sole and exclusive responsibility and liability of any carrier used in these tours, shall be in accordance with and as limited by the contract of carriage in the passengers ticket, the applicable tariffs, and the provisions of the Warsaw Convention, if applicable. Carrier used shall not be responsible or liable for any act, omission, or occurrence during the time passengers are not on board its airplanes. All tours, services, and transportation (other than air) are furnished by contractors that are independent and that do not act for or on behalf of the carrier, nor are they servants of the same, and neither do they have any business relationship, as joint ventures or otherwise. Further, the carrier shall not be responsible or liable in any way for the accuracy of any representations of the tour operator and its travel agents on tours or tour services.

TOUR OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY

CULTURAL VACATIONS, INC. (d/b/a Cultural or culturalvacations.com) and associated companies make arrangements on your behalf for hotel, lodge, camp, spa, health resort and other accommodations, for transport and conveyance by whatever means, as Tour Operators or Travel Agents, on the express condition that they shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned by reason of any defect in any vehicle, or through the acts or defaults of any company or person engaged in conveying the passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tours, or otherwise in connection therewith, or any hotel/lodge proprietary or servant. Cultural and associated companies accept no responsibility for losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in train, steamer, cruise, motor vehicle, air or other services, in sickness, weather, strikes, civil disturbances, war, quarantine, force majeur, or other causes. All such losses or expenses will have to be borne by each passenger. Such conveyance, etc. is subject to the laws of the country in which the tour takes place and all claims are subject only to jurisdiction of courts of the country in which the cause of action arises. Cultural and associated companies reserve the right to employ sub-contractors to carry out all, or part, of the services provided and in the event of such right utilized, the terms and clauses above relating to the company's limit of liability shall apply. Any other claims are solely heard in the city of Orlando, in the state of Florida where Cultural Vacations Inc. has its offices.

ALTERATIONS TO TOURS & ACCEPTANCE

Cultural Vacations, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to alter any route or other arrangements; offer substitutes, or to completely cancel the whole or any portion of a tour, should conditions necessitate. The right is also reserved to decline the acceptance of any person as a member of a tour should the presence of that person be prejudicial to the good conduct of the tour, or be contrary to the prevailing laws of the country visited, even if the tour is already in progress.
