PORTS OF CALL
We embark in Russia’s northeastern cultural center, St. Petersburg, where we explore its renowned museums and palaces, and learn about its place in the new Russia. Our first ports of call are the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania as they experience their post-Soviet renaissance. We’ll observe their rich traditions and newfound cultural vitality, and see some of the finest medieval architecture in Europe. From there, we’ll experience the charm and history of the Scandinavian capitals of Stockholm and Copenhagen. After cruising the spectacular fjords of Norway we will end our journey in the historic port of Bergen.
SPECIAL GUEST
This trip offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet with Lech Walesa, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and former leader of the Polish Solidarity Movement’s struggle against Communist rule in Gdansk, Poland.

This exclusive itinerary features accommodations aboard the deluxe M. S. Le Diamant, one of the world’s most celebrated small cruise ships, featuring only 113 outside cabins. Refurbished in 2004, it offers a luxurious sanctuary with personalized service, fine cuisine, and elegant amenities.
