Introduction to Alumni Adventures
Dear Carleton alumni, parents, and friends,
The Carleton Alumni Adventures Program Committee would like to offer you, our present, former, and future travelers, the new lineup for the upcoming 2008 Alumni Adventures season. As always, our adventures combine visits to fascinating places with opportunities to continue your education alongside outstanding faculty leaders and other Carleton alumni and friends.
As in past years, we have divided our Alumni Adventure programs into two categories: domestic and international. The upcoming year’s domestic lineup
features four trips: an Alaskan coastal wilderness voyage, a cultural tour of the Berkshire Mountains, a covered wagon trek through the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, and a weekend of archeology, opera, and art in Santa Fe.
International adventures for 2008 include a custom-designed cultural tour of Central Europe led by people native to the locale, a modestly demanding ecological climb up the famed volcano, Mount Kilimanjaro, a historical and geological tour of Scotland, and a cruise from Paris through Normandy to the historic port of Rouen.
All adventures are led by Carleton faculty and staff members who bring their academic expertise to the field and who add the depth of knowledge and intellectual perspective that characterizes our Alumni Adventures.
For more information on the adventures that interest you, contact the Office of Alumni Affairs at 800-729-2586, e-mail Amy Goerwitz at amy.goerwitz@carleton.edu, or visit go.carleton.edu/4. But don’t wait too long—these trips are popular and many will fill up quickly.
Whatever adventure you choose, you’ll find it an opportunity to renew old friendships, make new ones, and to meet those experiencing the Carleton of today. We are pleased to be able to bring you these offerings.
Sincerely,
The Carleton Alumni Adventures Committee
