Early in September 2008 we learned that one of our children had been abused while in grade school. Since that time I have written some reflections about some of my favorite biblical passages (five so far) and e-mailed them to our now adult kids. I shared the latest one with Ann in the Alumni Office, and I am sharing this with you all. As you will see, this one bubbled up as I faced bypass surgery, a process I have observed as a pastor since about 1970 with several parishioners
