Out After Carleton invites you to a special visit to The Jean-Nickolaus Tretter Collection in Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies at the University of Minnesota. The Tretter Collection began over thirty years ago as the personal collection of GLBT activist Jean-Nickolaus Tretter. In 2000, Mr. Tretter donated his collection to the University of Minnesota Libraries, where it is housed in the Archives and Special Collections. The Tretter Collection continues to grow and currently includes over 30,000 items in a wide variety of media and in approximately 58 languages. Rachel Mattson, the current Curator of the Tretter Collection, will offer a glimpse into the collection and the histories it documents (including LGBTQ2 Minnesota histories). Attendees will have the opportunity to view selected materials from the Tretter collection.
