We begin the weekend with an elegant early evening reception at the Nelson-Atkins Museum, complete with hors d’oeuvres by the Rozzelle Court Chefs (including Roasted Corn and Green Onion Potato Croquettes with Cucumber-Teriyaki Chutney and Beef Ternderloin Crostini with Horseradish Cream and Dijon Mustard) and non-alcoholic beverages. Laurel Bradley will give a presentation on the new Weitz Center for Creativity and the Perlman Teaching Museum. No person has more enthusiasm for the arts at Carleton than Laurel, or more understanding of the value of the arts!

Following the reception, we'll enjoy a tour of the Nelson’s new exhibition, "World War I and the Rise of Modernism" guided by the curator of this exhibition herself, Jan Schall, the Sanders Sosland Curator of Modern Art at the Nelson. We are truly lucky to have Ms. Schall with us to speak about the works on view and why they were selected.
