Bay Area Community Service
The Bay Area Carleton Club
invites you to
Connect with other Carls in the SF Bay Area via Community Service!
March 24, 2007, 9 a.m. to 12 noon
at the
Crissy Field Center in the Presidio of San Francisco
603 Mason Street in the Presidio
Volunteers play a critical role in the environmental restoration of the Presidio, a National Park which is home to three endangered plant species, and is a gem of open space in an otherwise crowded city. So in the spirit of community service fostered by their Carleton days, Andy Kleinhesselink '05 and Adam Sharron '00, who work in the Presidio, are calling on the Carleton community to come help pull weeds, clean up trash and plant native plants in a new restoration site overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This will be a great way to learn more about the natural environment of the Presidio and meet other Carls. Alumni, parents, and current students (it's the last weekend of spring break) in the Bay Area are all invited and encouraged to come. We provide gloves, tools, water, and a snack. Wear shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Come rain or shine, we provide rain gear if needed.
Questions? Contact Andrew Kleinhesselink '05.
