Carleton Club Talk by Michael Clarage '86 and Happy Hour
The Boston Carleton Club invites you to a talk:
If you dragged your feet on the rug and touched the Sun,
would you get an electric shock?
Michael Clarage '86 will discuss the role of electric fields and electric currents--often under estimated in astronomical settings. We will review some of the surprising ways electricity shapes planets, stars, and galaxies, and look at some paradigm shifts on the horizon for the role of electricity in cosmology.
Please join the Boston Carleton Club to hear Michael Clarage '86 talk about his research. After the talk, we will walk to nearby restaurant (TBD) for some snacks.
When: Sunday, June 7, 2015, 3-4:30 p.m.
Where: Boston Public Library (Copley), Commonwealth Salon
Directions: Take the Green Line to Copley Station or Orange Line to Back Bay/South End Station. Walk about two blocks north on Dartmouth Street to Copley Square.
Cost: Free! Snacks and beverages post-talk are Dutch treat.
RSVPs are not necessary but appreciated here.
