One Million Books for Gambia

Megan will talk about a project she's coordinating as director of Hand In Health, a non-profit organization established in 2006 that works with health care and literacy in The Gambia, West Africa. Their most recent projects involve a collaborative partnership with the University of Washington Medical School to bring two fourth-year medical students to Gambia to complete their rotation in tropical medicine, and the "African Book Walk" - a trek across Gambia to raise awareness for the 1 Million Books for Gambia Project.

Treat yourself to a tasty and inexpensive breakfast.  Reservations are not necessary.  Suggestions for speakers are always welcome:  contact program coordinator Bob Carlson '68 with your ideas.
