Alumni Council Membership

The Alumni Council is composed of at least 15 members—known as directors—who represent a range of class years, geographic locations and professional backgrounds. Directors are nominated by alumni, staff, and faculty, and a final selection is carried out by the Council's Awards and Nominations Committee.

Each of the alumni stewardship efforts is represented by at least one member, with the balance being at least one at-large director for every two alumni stewardship efforts members.

There are at least three members who are students when appointed, and four alumni trustees. At-large members serve four-year terms, members representing alumni stewardship efforts serve two-year terms, and student members serve three-year terms.

The Council is led by two officers: president and either past president or vice president/president-elect. The president serves for two years and one year as past president, and the vice president/president-elect serves for one.
