Carleton Open Golf Outing

The opening event of Reunion Weekend will be the 13^th Annual Carleton Open on Thursday afternoon, June 19^th. It is sponsored by the Alumni Affairs Office and managed by alumni. Last year 104 played, including 96 alums, with over half of them from Reunion Classes.

It will be contested at the beautiful and challenging Northfield Golf Club as a team scramble with flights for men, women and couples. Teams will be organized with player participation and handicapped using the “Thurnblad System” which, while totally arbitrary, has proven to be immensely equitable over the last 12 years. The 11:30 check-in and the optional sandwich buffet precede the shotgun start at 1:00. The event ends with a cash bar, dinner and awarding of prizes.

The registration procedure for returning alums will be described in the 2008 Registration Materials. Past participants will receive Save-The-Date notices and registration forms by mail.
