President Oden Announces Retirement
On September 25, 2009 President Oden announced his retirement effective at the end of the academic year. After eight years at Carleton, and more than twenty years serving at academic institutions throughout the country, President Oden will retire in June of 2010.

Presidential Search Committee Announced
With the announcement of President Oden's retirement, the Board of Trustees has initiated a search for Carleton's next president.

2nd Annual Freshman Fall Day
On Tuesday, October 27 the Alumni Affairs Office and the Alumni Annual Fund hosted the 2nd Annual Freshman Fall Day for the class of 2013. The event is sponsored by the Alumni Association.
Highlights from the day include pumpkin decorating, dodgeball, apple cider and hot chocolate, and the student favorite "Carleton 2013" long-sleeve t-shirts that are given to each member of the Class of 2013!

Carleton is reinvesting in the Clubs program to create "Carleton Where You Live." If you are unfamiliar with Carleton Clubs, you can check out the clubs homepage here. You'll find information about club events in your area, as well as contact information in case you have an event idea for the club chairs!
With the Holidays approaching, make sure to check out the upcoming events to see if there is a gathering in your area! Keep an eye out in January for information on the country-wide Trivia challange.

Carleton Admissions Website Revamped!
In January of 2009 the completely re-done Carleton Admissions website went live. With lots of interactive features like videos, student blogs, and an "ask" feature, the site takes prospective students through every step of the Admissions website, and gives them a good feel for what Carleton is really like!
Digital Collections at Carleton
Have you ever wanted to go back and read Carletonian articles from your time on campus? Maybe you lost your Zoobook and wish you could look back on it now? Or maybe you're just interested in delving into some of Carleton's historical documents!
Whatever the case, check out Carleton's Digital Collections Homepage. Some collections are open to the public. For those that are not, just use your alumni username and password to gain access.
