Computer Lab, 1969

Snoopy invades the computer center in 1969 as Linda LeResche, ’69, displays the printout from the Control Data 200 User Terminal while Wendy Cederholm, ’71, operates the keyboard. The User Terminal was linked via telephone wires to one of the world’s largest and fastest computing machines, the Control Data 6600, which performed three million additions each second. Originally printed in March Voice 1969 p. 18A “The Changing Computer Environment.”

    Nice photos!

I hope we have captured some of the great Halloween celebration on campus for 2010, especially the one with Penguin costume, and many others.

Who knows! Look back in the year of 2050, we would become a part of Carleton history. :-)
