Carleton students have been notorious for clever pranks over the years, including the water tower paintings and, more recently, the R2D2-turned Goodsell Observatory.

The first attempt to remove this large iron sculpture of a bug from the library to Sayles Hill was foiled by a zealous security guard at 2:10am, Apr. 1, 1993, when he met 10 students exiting the library carrying bug parts.
A horse invited inside Musser Hall, an incident recalled in the January 20, 1989 issue of the Carletonian article.
