Carleton Assistant Professor of Music Alex Freeman's new composition, a set of piano variations titled AERIAL VOICES: VARIATIONS ON A THEME OF CHARLES FUSSELL, will receive its world premiere on Tuesday, February 5th, at the new Helsinki Music Center in Helsinki, Finland. Simultaneously, the concert will be live-streamed at the Weitz Center Cinema - a great way to enjoy new music debuting half-way around the globe! At 11:00 a.m. Prof. Freeman will make remarks about his new work while the recital gets underway in the gleaming new Helsinki Music Center. Pianist Salla Karakorpi does the honors.
