Concert Hall & Practice Rooms
The concert hall seats 500 people. The lower level features a large rehearsal room, the Instrument Library, ensemble rooms, and eleven practice rooms.IdeaLab
The IdeaLab is Carleton's centralized technology resource center, offering both equipment and how-to help. The IdeaLab facilities include a photo/video studio, computer lab, video finishing room, and equipment library.Music Resource Center
The Music Resource Center (MRC) houses the Music Department's curricular resource collection, including scores, reference books, and recordings.Musical Instrument Library
The Instrument Library loans a variety of instruments to students currently participating in music courses, free of charge. The Instrument Library also contains sheet music available to students and faculty for chamber ensembles.Studio Art Facilities
Carleton has specialized studios for ceramics, metalsmithing, painting, paper arts, photography, printmaking, sculpture, woodworking and drawing.Teaching Museum
The Teaching Museum exhibits works from the College's collection, traveling exhibitions, and shows curated by Carleton students, faculty, and staff. Museum staff also work closely with Carleton faculty and students to help bring art into the curriculum.Visual Resources Collection
The Carleton Visual Resources Collection houses a library of more than 140,000 slides of works from the history of art and architecture, and is also where the digital image collection is created using large format scanners, slide scanner and digital copy photography stand.Weitz Center for Creativity
The Weitz Center's mission is to serve as a working laboratory for creativity--not only in the arts, but across the entire curriculum. The Weitz Center is home to the Teaching Museum, cinema, performing arts theater, dance studios, interactive classroom, and much more.
