Women's Basketball: Knights Hope Wins Flow from Fountain of Youth
A young roster has brought renewed hope for the Carleton College women’s basketball team, which will seek to take full advantage of its youthful energy, athleticism, and enthusiasm during the 2009-2010 campaign. The Knights need a number of players to step into the voids in the lineup created when three starters graduated in the spring. The Knights' season tips off on Tuesday, Nov. 24, when they travel to Luther College.

Football: Four Knights Receive All-MIAC Honors
Four members of the Carleton football team were recognized in awards handed out by the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) today. Right tackle Brad Eckelman was an All-MIAC First-Team selection while running back Jon Lien, nose tackle Joe Boerma, and safety Neil Kolstad were each named to the second team.

Women's Cross Country: Childs-Walker and Roach Earn All-American Honors as Knights Finish 11th at Nationals
The Carleton College women’s cross country team placed 11th out of 32 teams at the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. Leading the way for the Knights were sophomore Simone Childs-Walker and senior Laura Roach who both earned USTFCCCA All-American status by finishing 11th and 25th respectively during the competition.

Men's Cross Country: Gamble Wraps Up Collegiate Career at NCAA Championships
Carleton College senior Charlie Gamble concluded his final season by placing 233rd out of 276 racers at the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. He finished the eight-kilometer course with a time of 27:54.8.

Women's Cross Country: Ricks Named Regional Coach of the Year, Four Tabbed to All-Region Team
Following Carleton College’s team victory at the NCAA Central Regional Championships last week, head coach Donna Ricks was named the USTFCCCA Division III Women’s Regional Coach of the Year. Four Knight harriers were selected to the All-Region team. Carleton will race at the 2009 NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21.

Men's Cross Country: Gamble Selected for All-Region Team
Senior Charlie Gamble was selected for the USTFCCA All-Region team after finishing in 11th place at the NCAA Central Region Championships, a performance that also allowed him to advance individually to the NCAA Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21.

Men's Basketball: Carleton Vanquishes Wartburg with Late Rally, Wins Battle of Knights in Season Opener
After shaking off the rust early, the Carleton College men’s basketball team (1-0) found its stride midway through the second half to earn a come-from-behind 71-66 win over the visiting Wartburg College Knights (0-1) in the season opener for both teams. Men's Soccer: Carlton MIAC Player of the Year, Five Others Honored
After winning a third straight MIAC regular season title, the Carleton College men's soccer team is once again well represented on the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) awards list. Leading the way was senior defender Robert Carlton, who earned MIAC Player of the Year along with All-Conference honors.
