No. 20-ranked Luther College used a 13-0 run in the first half to set the tone and pull away from the Carleton College women’s basketball team for a 72-39 decision. Anne Hamilton paced the Knights with 11 points in a neutral-site contest played at nearby St. Olaf College.

Maya Okamoto came off the bench and turned in the best performance of her career to lead the Carleton College women’s basketball team to a 65-56 victory at Bethany Lutheran College. Okamoto was 4-for-4 from beyond the arc and more than doubled her previous career high as she finished tonight’s contest with 19 points and her quartet of 3-pointers matched the ninth-highest single-game total in recorded team history.

Defensive tackle Pete Boerma was voted by the conference coaches to the All-MIAC First Team Defense. Four other Knights received all-conference honorable mention as the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) handed out its annual awards on Tuesday.
