Already a solid performer in the classroom, Carleton College men’s soccer player Jordy Cammarota stepped up his play this season and was voted to the 2014 Academic All-District team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Lucy Stevens (Fy./Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal School) claimed a career-best 22 kills and hit .429, while Karen Halls (SR./Edina, Minn.) added 11 kills in her final home match, but the Carleton College volleyball team fell in a three sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-22) to No. 9-ranked St. Thomas at West Gymnasium Wednesday evening.

With a flair for the dramatic, junior Branden McGarrity broke the Carleton College men’s soccer career goals record when he tallied the double-overtime game-winning goal to lift the Knights to the 1-0 victory over visiting University of St. Thomas.

Junior Branden McGarrity had an outstanding week and helped the Carleton men's soccer team pick up two big wins. In the Knights' win over St. Thomas, McGarrity broke the Carleton College men’s soccer career goals record when he tallied the double-overtime game-winner to lift the Knights to a 1-0 victory. For his performance, McGarrity earned the MIAC Men's Soccer Athlete-of-the-Week award.

The Carleton College men’s swimming and diving team began the 2014-2015 season on Saturday with the University of St. Thomas Relay Meet. The top results for the unique event included victories in the 300-yard backstroke relay and 200-yard freestyle relay and second-place finishes in the 300-yard backstroke relay and the 400-yard IM relay.
