The 2006 season for the Knights began with a test – a grueling measure of both endurance and speed around the Laird Stadium track. Things looked promising for the Knights as both new and returning players arrived in top shape. The next two days brought more fitness measures as the Knights began to forge camaraderie on the field.
Led by captains Ross Mattson and Robbie Webber, a strong core of returnees and a promising incoming class, Carleton possess the requisite ingredients to contend for their first MIAC title.
As the Knights began to make noise on the field, Mother Nature began to make noise of her own, bringing down record size hail in Northfield. The Knights were not deterred and fought back onto the field as the clouds split for a brief period. With each day of camp the Knights are making progress: bonding, growing, maturing and preparing to make a run to the NCAA tournament.
