<title>Ginet Tabbed First-Team Academic All-American</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;After a superb season on the soccer pitch, junior forward &lt;strong&gt;Simon Ginet&lt;/strong&gt; has now been honored for his strong performance in the classroom. He was named a first-team Academic All-American, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Carleton student-athletes have now earned Academic All-America distinction 19 times overall, and Ginet is the fifth Knight to be voted to the national first-team.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;When it comes to the NCAA Tournament, anything less than a sterling performance often results in disappointment and heartache, and Carleton learned that lesson on Saturday. Dan Czernicki’s 19th-minute goal was all underdog Carroll (Wis.) would need, as the Pioneers upset No. 12 Carleton, 1-0, in the NCAA Tournament’s first round at Bell Field. The loss snapped Carleton’s 15-match unbeaten streak, which stretched two months and saw the Knights own a 43-6 scoring advantage.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Regular-season co-champions Carleton College and Gustavus Adolphus met in the final round of the MIAC Men’s Soccer Playoffs with the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament at stake. Despite a few terrific scoring opportunities on both sides, neither team could find the back of the net… that is until the shootout. After 110 minutes of scoreless soccer, the sides lined up to alternate penalty kicks, a scenario that saw Gustavus eventually prevail by a 7-6 margin.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
