<title>Bechstein Finishes Fifth at MIAC Decathlon</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Junior &lt;strong&gt;Kane Bechstein&lt;/strong&gt; accumulated 5,577 points and placed fifth overall during the two-day competition at the MIAC Decathlon. He moved up four spots on day two, highlighted by strong performances in the pole vault and javelin throw. Bechstein record season's bests in eight out of the 10 events.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

While there was no declared overall winner of the meet, it didn’t stop several Knight performers from having great events. <title>Sepe Wins 10K at Gina Relays, Knights Strong at Drake Relays</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;The members of Carleton College’s men’s track and field team are a bit spread out this weekend, but it hasn’t prevented them from enjoying success on the track. Senior &lt;strong&gt;Joe Sepe&lt;/strong&gt; to victory in the 10,000-meter run at the 42nd annual Hillsdale College (Mich.) Gina Relays. He finished more than six seconds faster than his closest competition, a racer from Division I Central Michigan. Also on Friday, Knights’ entry in the 4x400-meter relay at the prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, placed fifth in its heat and 21st out of 37 entries in the college division.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Ballinger Receives Weekly Honor</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Carleton College junior &lt;strong&gt;Tom Ballinger&lt;/strong&gt; was named the MIAC track athlete of the week. He won the 400m Hurdles at the Carleton Relays while recording an NCAA provisional qualifying time. Ballinger also placed fourth in the 110m Hurdles, anchored the second place 4x100m relay, and ran on the victorious 4x400m relay.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Knights Finish Fourth at Carleton Relays</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;What a difference a year makes. At the 2007 Carleton Relays, the Knights track and field team scored only 25 points to place 13th in the team standings. Turn the calendar ahead one year, and the Carleton men placed fourth with an astounding 95.5 points, narrowly besting conference foes Bethel and St. Olaf. The meet included entrants from Division I and Division II teams as well.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
