<description>&lt;p&gt;Carleton College junior pitcher &lt;strong&gt;Ethan Guevin&lt;/strong&gt; was selected to the &lt;em&gt;ESPN The Magazine&lt;/em&gt; Academic All-District 5 second team. He went 3-5 with a 3.21 ERA, while ranking fifth in the conference with 47 strikeouts over 47.2 innings pitched. Guevin’s earned run average was fourth among MIAC hurlers with as many innings.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Knights Finish Season Ranked 23rd in Golf World Poll</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Carleton ended its season, arguable the best in school history, ranked 23rd in the final Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association Division III poll. The Knights were ranked the entire spring season and weren't bested by any unranked teams against a very tough spring slate. The Knights also notched wins against 15th-ranked Wartburg, 17th-ranked McMurry and 22nd-ranked Rhodes.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Knights Close Year with Blowout Victory</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Russ Fujisawa&lt;/strong&gt; homered twice and &lt;strong&gt;Jay Melson&lt;/strong&gt; added a three-run blast as the Knights finished the 2008 season with a 25-5 win over the University of Minnesota-Morris. Eight players had multi-hit games for the Knights, including senior &lt;strong&gt;Doug Sylvester&lt;/strong&gt;, who capped his collegiate career by reaching base four times. Game two of the doubleheader was rained out.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Wood Earns Spot at NCAA Championships</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;Junior &lt;strong&gt;Katrina Wood&lt;/strong&gt; is heading to the 2008 NCAA Championships after receiving one of the 11 individual bids to the national tournament. Wood is the second Carleton women's golfer in as many years to advance to the national level. She plays in the NCAA tournament on May 13-16 in Waverly, Iowa, and joins 20 teams and 10 other individuals at Centennial Oaks Golf Club.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<title>Knights Conclude Season at St. Olaf Invitational</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;The season-ending St. Olaf invitational was split into two separate events at the request of some of the visiting teams. On the first day, harsh winds and a questionable course set-up resulted in high scores for the entire field. The Knights were lead by &lt;strong&gt;Alec Roman&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Jesse Saucedo&lt;/strong&gt;, who finished in 10th and 13th respectively. Both golfers ranked in the top 10 during the second day's competition.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
