<title>Knights to Open NCAA Championships on Friday</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;It’s a regional repeat for the Carleton College women’s tennis team. For the second consecutive year, the Knights earned the MIAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. Just like last year, Carleton travels to Chicago for the regional round, and for the second time in as many seasons, the Knights will face Grinnell College in the opening round, a match slated for 10 a.m. on Friday, May 10.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

<description>&lt;p&gt;Six members of the Carleton College women’s tennis team earned All-MIAC honors for the 2013 season, following the team’s second consecutive conference playoff championship. Senior &lt;strong&gt;Bridget Doyle&lt;/strong&gt; and junior &lt;strong&gt;Anne Lombardi&lt;/strong&gt; were repeat selections in both singles and doubles, while junior &lt;strong&gt;Molly Hemes&lt;/strong&gt; picked up her second consecutive award in singles. <title>Bridget Doyle Earns MIAC Athlete-of-the-Week Honor</title>
<description>&lt;p&gt;The Carleton women's tennis team had an outstanding weekend, claiming their second-straight MIAC Women's Tennis Playoff championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Senior &lt;strong&gt;Bridget Doyle&lt;/strong&gt; (Mendota Heights, Minn./Visitation) was a huge key to the Knights success, winning both her doubles matches and going 1-0 in singles play as Carleton defeated Gustavus and St. Thomas to claim the title. For her postseason performance, Doyle received the final MIAC Women's Tennis Athlete-of-the-Week honor of the 2013 season.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

The Knights (12-7, 8-1 MIAC) posted a trio of tight victories over Gustavus a year ago and made a statement with the decisive triumph today. The win also secured the No. 2 seed in the upcoming MIAC Playoffs and a first-round bye.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
