Women’s Cross Country Breaks Top 20 in National Rankings

The Carleton women’s Cross Country team moved up two spots in the most recent USTFCCCA national coaches’ poll, reaching their highest ranking so far this season.  Previously ranked No. 21, the Knights’ strong finish at the Dan Huston Invite this past weekend brought them within the top 20 in the nation, where they now rank No. 19.  Carleton holds strong in the Central Region as well, and remains at No. 3, just behind St. Olaf and Wartburg.  The young team has certainly stepped up to the plate this season, racing to top-3 finishes in three out of their four meets.  In their first three meets, the Knights have recorded three top-five team finishes, including a first place finish in the All-American Invitational in Decorah, Iowa.

The Knights will return to competition this Saturday at the Tori Neubauer Invitational in West Salem, Wis. The race will begin at 12:00 p.m.
